Fresh off being awarded the Feynman Prize in Nanotechnology, Professor of Physics Massimiliano Di Ventra is positioned for another win—the 2021 UC Startup Innovation Challenge. Under consideration for the prize are 10 startups selected from across the University of California’s 10-campus system. UC San Diego has two startups in contention; MemComputing, Inc., a developer of disruptive high-performance computing technology, is one of them. Di Ventra co-founded the company with former UC San Diego entrepreneur-in-residence John Beane, the CEO who will make the virtual presentation for the award early next year.
