Courses in the Mathematics Education Minor are for students curious about how people learn mathematics. This includes students interested in teaching and a plethora of careers that involve communicating math concepts and thinking. The courses will also appeal to those wishing to learn about their own learning.
Courses in the Science Education Minor are for students interested in understanding how people learn science. This includes students interested in teaching and a plethora of careers that involve communicating scientific concepts and processes. The courses will also appeal to those who are curious about how they can become better learners.
Three majors are available to students interested in teaching—Mathematics Secondary Education, General Physics/Secondary Education and Education Sciences. Students in these majors are encouraged to take courses in the Math and Science Education Minors (but of course cannot both major and minor in education).
