School of Physical Sciences Staff EDI-C Committee

Welcome to the School of Physical Sciences Staff Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Climate (EDI-C) Committee webpage.

UC San Diego's Office of the Vice Chancellor for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) strives to create a campus climate of respect, fairness and cooperation, promoting innovation and leadership by engaging the talents and abilities of all. We believe that true excellence is achieved through productive relationships among people of diverse perspectives, as defined by UC San Diego’s Principles of Community.

The School of Physical Sciences EDI-C Committee supports campus-wide EDI initiatives and objectives through its own work within the school.

How do I join the EDI-C committee?

The EDI-C committee is composed of the assistant dean, the staff equity advisor, department MSOs, and two additional members per department, including the dean's office. The staff equity advisor is not included in the count for department representatives.

Each department will notify its staff of available openings on the committee. Individuals interested in joining the Staff EDI-C committee can send a short statement of interest to the Staff Equity Advisor at sps-advisor@ucsd.edu. All statements will be reviewed by the EDI-C Committee.

EDI-C feedback form

School of Physical Sciences (SPS) staff can use this form to receive information regarding campus resources and/or to report issues or concerns related to equity, diversity, inclusion or climate within the workplace.
